- What it takes to write a murder mystery—or probably any book, for that matter. (Hint: writer’s block, embarrassing mistakes, the pain of revision—which I describe as akin to sticking my hand in a blender; but also the unexpected synchronicity and the thrill of dancing with my subconscious—which I believe is often a better writer than my conscious self)
- Where I get my ideas; why I chose the location and the name of the city; whether I based any of my characters on people I know; how I choose character names; any other questions about the inside story of writing a book.
- The unexpected negative consequences of achieving a lifelong dream. (Dancing with the angels—until the demons crash the party)
