I had a great time at this year’s Las Vegas Writer’s Conference! We had a silent auction to raise money for scholarships for next year. And now I can answer the question everyone always asks: What does it take to write a book?

Here I am at the Clark County Library Authors & Artists Fair, giving my workshop, No Free Rides! Make Description Earn Its Place. It’s true; description can move your story forward! We did a number of interactive exercises, and pictures don’t lie, we had a lot of fun!

Just so you know, there’s more to my life than just writing–as much fun as that is. This photo is with my dear friend Toni Pacini (center), our friend Rebecca, and I, celebrating Toni’s birthday just months before she passed on.

This one is my husband Eddie and I in our prize-winning ’50s ice cream social costumes!

Here we are celebrating Halloween. That’s me in my alter-ego, Gina the Gypsy Fortune Teller. (Yeah, I do like to dress up!)

But I must admit, being an author is a blast!
